Launched at Lofers Bend little before 9am. Checked the East bank of lofers caught one small sb. Went around the corner to Towash area. Started catching very nice sb (most around 14") in 25fow. Some birds working and there were fish with them. Moved to a spot on the South side and started catching LMB on slabs. Caught 8, all of them over 2 lbs, 1 around 5 or 6 lbs, I thought I was going to have to post this in the Black Bass section. Then the big one. The biggest LMB I have every seen in person caught or at a weigh in. Took a long time to land her and could barely get it in the net, had to help Rob get it over the side of the boat. I have never seen a fresh water fish with such a big head. Tried to weigh it but couldn't get the scale to switch to lbs from kg and it had a low battery icon on. It was right at 4kg on the scale but felt heavier. So I guess that translates to 8.8lbs. Put her on the side rail to measure length and she found her way back into the lake for someone else to catch. After we recovered from that spent the rest of the day midlake following birds or fishing humps. Found fish at every spot. Ended the day with 215 on the clicker, majority were 14" sb. Caught one good striper and about 20 small ones.
All fish caught on small slab slowing lifting off the bottom, all fish released.

The bigun

Thanks for all the positive comments. I couldn't fish as much without Robert and his fine clean boat. We have a great time trying to figure out how to find the fish. We both read and digest info from you guys. Don't need exact locations but lure choice, presentation and depth are very helpful. Most of the time we have a game plan before we launch his boat.
