Haven't been seeing too many reports and now I know why. Started at highport and went east. No birds. A handful of guides scattered. All the way over to Platter area. No fish. To the Crosses. LOTS of bait holding in 35-40ft of water and birds sitting on top but no feeding fish. West shoreline as you're going into the Crosses. Should be a hot spot when the fish decide to feed. Tons of bait. Decided to go West. A lot more birds, few more boats and again tons of bait. Massive schools of bait holding at the same 35-40ft level. We through slabs, cohos, sassys, and even buck tails. About 4pm caught our first and only fish and it was the nicest in a long time-about 15lbs on a glow sassy working a rocky point. Would post a pic if I knew how. Very healthy. Fat. Let her go after a couple of pics. Super slick water and blue bird skies probably didn't help us.

You don't see many reports here anymore from guides because about all it does is bring more boat traffic. Texoma is not a easy lake but fishing is good right now if you can figure them out.

Was trying to get out of work so I could run a trip up there yesterday. This is the slow time of year for fisherman .You must have been spoiled by the 20 lb fish a few years ago (Pre-flood).A 15 pound fish is something to be proud of right now.Feel free to pm myself,or Chris if you are going again,Better yet book us and we will put you on some fish.

I fished yesterday and thought it was gonna be a skunk, which has never happened to me on big Tex but it wasn't looking good. Finally found a few takers between 3-4 pm. Ended up with 8 fish. Two of them just over 10lbs.
I saw boats going all over the lake guides included. Numerous guide boats with only one person just trying to find fish. From what I can tell a lot of folks are struggling. I guess it's possible that guides are keeping quiet to keep boat traffic down but from what I have seen recently I will choose to politely disagree with that assertion. Guides get business from forums like this and even if some guides choose to be titghlipped, others benefit from letting folks know that they are on fish and free advertising is rarely a bad thing. There is just so much bait and the fish are not where they have been in the past at this time of year, at least not for me.

Agree with last post-guide boats were running all over the lake. Didn't see any stay in one spot for more than 15 minutes. I saw one boat catch one small striper with his clients throwing umbrella/Alabama rigs while point hopping. I've learned a lot from fishing with guides on this lake so not taking anything away from the concept. I had a 4 hour window and 2 boys who wanted to get out and catch a fish. Haven't been on the lake in a long time so it's forums like this that really help point me in the right direction when time is limited. Six old geezers is also a great resource.

I fished last 3 days and yes is suuuuuckktt. I got skunked 2 of the 3 days. The first day I only scouted around and tried some artificials. Got one bite on a deadstick and that was it.
I also saw guide boats running around with only the one guy. Looking all over. The guides we saw that had groups were mostly drifting in a unproductive area. I guess the fish were there a few days ago and they were sticking to it.
But from what I saw it is poor. The weather probably has a lot to do with it. It was 75 when we left today.
Good luck fellas, but I will be waiting till it pics up before I make another trip.

The 27th was great for us. No big fish and I only had 2 customers but they caught a limit and released quite a few more and back to the dock before lunch.
