Someone always seems to figure them out, wasn't too good for us either today, only got 6-7, under 10 bites all day. No pattern/very random, fish caught from dirt shallow to 9 ft, tried deep half the day too, baits were all over the place from different dept cranks cranks to various rigged/color plastics.

Fished it Yesterday 1/1 for the first time ever and caught around 40 fish. Majority were healthy 2-3 lbers with a few being 3-4. Lots of flipping and pitching with an occasional C Rig bite deeper. I was very impressed!

Sounds like nobody was throwing frogs. they were not hitting frogs for us, but they bit craws really well, had three to four limits of 17.5 inch fish, had a couple on that might have kept, but lost em. water temps were mid 60's on saturday, from mid lake to dam, plant was not running.

I am saying a prayer now that we don't have a solid week and a half of overcast days with no sunshine. That is the recipe of death for like Fairfield. As I recall from years past, that was the determination of the reason for the fish kills there. Lack of sunshine causes a lack of a certain algae or organism that is required for the water to be properly oxygenated. A few days is no big deal, but 7 to 10 days with no sunshine in the lake will be in trouble again. I'm so glad to see this lake coming back around, it's one of my favorites.
