Haven't been out for several months and thinking about Fork? Still decent grass? Ideas about depths or patterns would be helpful!!

Thanks Okie...Is there a big tourney coming up or something? We may consider another lake. I thought about all the power plant lakes but they will probably be way over crowded and we're just fishing for fun. Do you know if Fork still has some grass in it or is it died back already? I'm not very good at deep water fishing and probably thinking shallow is our best/only shot. Hope you had a great Christmas!

Thanks guys...never fished Texoma. Know Fork fairly well from years ago, but haven't really fished in the winter much and haven't been there since the spring. Used to fish it when the giants were schooling in Big Mustang throwing AC plugs if that tells ya how long it's been since I fished it in the winter!

Guy with me caught an 8 1/2 lber in less than a foot of water on fork yesterday but we only had like 6-7 bites all day. So it just depends what you're looking for I guess. Caught that fish on a white chatter bait. There is some grass but the effective grass holding fish is not much and hard to find. I'm sure others are catching much better numbers than me. I really haven't been on fork very many days at all this month.

Got any pics of the 8.5lb bass? I love seeing big winter fish. They always have great color.

Had a decent day on the lake. Caught 9 bass. Nothing big (3.5 lbs), but all but two were in that size. Less than 10' on all. Dec 28 and beautiful...Gotta love Texas!!
