Need a last minute Christmas gift for that fisherman in your life? We still have plenty of room for our December 30 - January 1 48 hour trip. 750pp gets you a good shot at yellowfin, amberjack, and grouper! Call Deep Sea Headquarters at 361-749-5597 to book!

They haven't mentioned continuing the closure in any of this month's propaganda, so im taking that as a good sign...

I have. I'm positive they will screw it up somehow.

limits of YFT for 9 anglers, 2 AJ, 1 warsaw
& the typical blackfins & cuda's

9 guys on that boat would be awesome!

Happy New Year Charlie!

This trip did not go. I think the weather forecast scared folks from signing up and they did not reach their minimum. Pretty typical for Jan - Feb fishing trips.

Brian .... that report is on the Scat Cat not the Pelican. And if you look at the pic there are 14 fisherman and 23 YFT laying on the rack. So I am not sure of the accuracy of that report.

Pre-coffee posting .... not good sometimes. Only slightly better than posting drunk. Been there, done that.

Happy New Year!

Yeah we couldnt wind up going on our smaller boats, because it would have just been miserable for everyone.... two of the bigger boats in town went that weekend and both did great, so its a bummer it was too rough. Scat cat went on the 30th with a super light load and smacked a limit plus a bunch of bft.... dolphin express left that sunday on a one night trip and almost limited out for a full boat (16)... hopefully the yft stick around this spring like last year, and we can get a few more...

I took out a private charter 24 hr on the 3rd, and we did really good on ajs, but found out Falcon is no longer lit, so isnt holding very many blackfin. We also got a 257# mako and a 60# hoo that smoked a high speed lure down at 15.5 knots, super impressive strike!

Since Falcon is no longer lit, we are changing our spring 24 hrs to 30 hrs, to get to other places for the tuna. The price is a little bit more, but i think well worth it.
