HumminbirdPC has always had an issue of not displaying the tracks with track-segments correctly. Humminbird was aware of this 4 years ago and never fixed.

Boatlane's tracks should display correctly on your Helix. Boot into Simulator Mode and navigate the map screen to Rayburn. . .

When in doubt stay south of caney/veach all the way to farmers/twin dikes. That's a big piece of the lake that's open to run for the most part

I can't remember the patch that goes across the lake. I figure its a few feet under currently? I always pick a side when running still.

It shows itself when the lake gets under 160 if I remember correctly. Some big trees out there

Thanks, it shows up correctly on the Helix unit. Is Caney pretty clear, it (Boatlanes) doesn't have any lanes in and out of Caney?

If you watch the Ken Smith videos above most any question you have about running the main areas will be answered. He gives waypoints and discusses lake levels.

Yea it's about at that level. There's a big group out in front of Coleman and some small patches just south. I do like Andrew said and pick a side to run. I don't go down the middle but I pretty much know how to go around those hairy places

Is it Lance Vick boatlanes that you're using?

Bringing back up an old thread but just spent three days on Rayburn. Couple of questions that maybe someone can help me with. What's the best way to get from Cassel Boykin to Harvey? Go between the forest or east of Bird Island, between Bird and the island east of bird? Saw boats running both. I noticed a big stump just north of the 147 bridge, maybe 1/4 mile north at the most about 1/3 of the way across the bridge headed east. Noticed another large stump going in to Harvey, at the entrance of Indian Creek. I can't find these marked anywhere but saw them sticking out and they were large stumps.

I have the Lance Vick Boat Lanes info but didn't realize there were stumps in those areas I mentioned above and can't find them marked on any maps, including the Navionics app for my iPad. I followed a guide to certain areas south of 147 along the West bank but not on the east side. I worked my way down to Veach from Harvey but was a little nervous. Also, from Jackson Hill to Cassels Boykin, best route across? There's a large area marked on Boat Lanes to stay south of but after seeing the large stump just north of 147 I realized I may not have been running the proper area. I basically ran along just north of the 147 bridge, maybe 1/8 mile to a 1/4 mile north of 147.

There's a few stumps in the run between Cassels Boykin and the bridge. They are very random and odds of hitting them are slim. A few of us marked em all when the lake was real low. The quickest route to Harvey is to head straight to the left end of the bridge (Broaddus end) when leaving CB. Cut to the left behind bird island and when you pop out from the island just stay away from the timber waypoints on your right that shows on the boat lands chip and you'll be fine. There's one 6-8" stump in front of Indian right now sticking up a couple of feet. It's the ONLY hazard in that area. There's a HUGE stump going in Harvey but it's pretty main lake. Don't worry about it.

The one that is 6-8" in front of Indian is most likely the one I saw and marked it. Is it best to run right along the 147 bridge to the east? Does it matter if you stay north or south of the bridge as you head across?

If anyone has the lat/long of any of these random stumps I'd appreciate it. I noticed a couple of stumps are marked on the Boat Lanes from Harvey to Veach but the two I mentioned above aren't marked anywhere that I've found. My cell is 8three2-7six7-88nine0 if anyone wants to text me the lat/longs of any stumps.

The ones above bridge are random. The lower it gets, the more you will see. Safest run is behind the islands at bird as mentioned. Those guys running the south side of bird either know exactly where the stumps are or they have watched someone run it. There's plenty of stumps out there.

Harvey to veach is clear as long as you stay away from the forest which is the south bank from Calhoun point down to caney. Running the north bank from Harvey to veach is clear. Just stay out a few hundred yards.
