Not much going on at RC except LOTS of Catfish being caught! grin I had three trips last week (Monday, Thursday and Saturday) and used Friday to "bait" holes in protected areas due to the strong South Winds. On two days I never saw another boat on the Lake. It's like this on RC until around March when the Spring arrives. We've been fishing the heavy timber up the Richland creek Arm and limiting on "Eater" Blues and Channels for the past couple of months. The larger fish are now showing up with the cooler temperatures. We used baited holes along the South Shoreline on Saturday when the morning temp was 70 degrees and the South Wind gusting to 25 MPH. Only had to fish two locations as the fish were on an aggressive bite and the Dad/Son Combo filled the box in about 3 hours! We have been finding fish on the Drop Offs and Channels in 25' of water. All our fish are caught on Danny Kings Blood Punch Bait on a # 4 Treble Hook. Give us a call or check us out at www.gonefishin.biz if you would like to get in on this action. We fish everyday except Sunday and specialize in FAMILY FISHING FUN!

I use a 5 gallon bucket and drill around 20 holes (1/4 inch)in it. Fill it with Range Cubes, add a rock, tie to timber and sink it. I replenish the Range Cubes about every three days as they dissolve quickly. If needed, I chum with a little sour maize . If you are fishing under the commorants, no need to bait holes.

Just put a "Winter Special" Offer for January & February on the website @ www.gonefishin.biz . Check us out!

Good Luck!

The recent warm up got us back on the Lake and we enjoyed a couple of days of White Bass and Catfishing as Tuesday & Wednesday were almost Spring Like days! We had a great White Bass and Hybrid bite on Wednesday and then had both boats out on Thursday for a morning of Catfishing. We continue to load the ice chest with good Blues and Channels. All caught on DK's Punch Bait in the timber on the Richland Creek Arm. Be careful if you have one of the FOGGY mornings as we have had recently.

Check out our WINTER SPECIAL OFFER on our site at www.gonefishin.biz bouncy

Only made it out two days this past week (Monday & Tuesday) and then the WIND and COLD has kept us off the Lake the remainder of the week. Just too cold to have fun when the temps hits the 30s, then the 20's and today(Saturday)it's 17 degrees and feels like 7 with the breeze! Had an AWESOME Family trip with Dad and three Sons on Monday with LOTS of Keepers and a few BIG Catfish. Tuesday was very good with a couple of Local Seniors. It was a Windy AM and we were catching fish too fast & bumping around in the Wind and didn't get any pics.

We'll be back at it next week when the warm up has up in the 60's on Monday! Check out our site at www.gonefishin.biz and read about the WINTER SPECIAL OFFER in the Fishing Report!

The week of January 9th resulted in almost a total cancel of fishing trips due to the early week Arctic Blast that had us COLD and the mid week South Winds that took us back into the 70's. I did have a chance late week to do a little fishing for our Family Fish Fry,and then had the Justice Family from the Hill Country joined me Saturday Morning for a Foggy, Misty and AWESOME Catfish Trip. We filled the Ice Chest and then some. No secrets here as all came from the Timber on the Richland Creek Arm of Richland Chambers in 13' FOW on Danny Kings Blood Punch Bait. WE STILL HAVE OUR WINTER SPECIAL OFFER on the site at www.gonefishin.biz thru February. Up to four fishermen can fish at the two person rate!!! thumb

Started the week off right with a Monday Trip after the Storms blew through. Didn't get out till around 9AM so missed the best early AM bite, but managed a box full of Eaters for my Clifton, Texas Regulars. The larger fish we caught on Saturday gave way to smaller fish and more Channels than Blues on a real "light bite". Still, an enjoyable day with a great group of Guys with a lotta jokes, trash talk and FUN!!!

Still have our WINTER SPECIAL OFFER Thru February!

It was a really good week on RC as I managed to get four trips in (Monday, and Thursday thru Saturday), and then we had some GREAT Rains on Tuesday & Wednesday. The Rainfall amounts varied from 3" to 6" in the area and the Creeks rose, the Lake came up over 1 1/2 feet and Life is Good! Seems that as the weather warmed after the Cold Fronts the Blue Cats slowed, the Channels picked up. On whole the fish were a bit smaller with the exception of Saturday when the Blues showed back up. The bite was a little "slower and softer" too and we missed a lot of fish. However, every trip resulted in a 40 to 60 fish box and there were plenty of fish fry filets for all! dance2 Still making the trip to the timber and fishing in 12'-18' FOW with Danny Kings Blood Punch Bait. We have late January openings and LOTS of February dates to fill if you want to take advantage of the WINTERTIME SPECIAL OFFER mentioned in the Fishing Report on our site @ www.gonefishin.biz . Here's a few pics from this week:

This week I only fished a couple of days (Monday & Thursday) and then decided that the cold weather, wind and trips with Seniors & Kids the latter part of the week just don't mesh up. We rescheduled Friday & Saturday for hopefully warmer days over the next two weeks. The Monday bite was definitely slower as the lake was slick and the bluebird skys made for a pleasant outing but only 21 keepers for the Group. Thursday was much better as I had a couple of 80 year old Seniors, their Son and 16 year old Grandson. While we missed a lot of bites, we still filled the ice chest with nice size Blues and Channels. dance2 Quite a few fishermen are taking us up on our WINTERTIME SPECIAL OFFER and going home with a box full of Catfish! Check us out at www.gonefishin.biz and give us a call as we have lots of February Weekdays open to fish.

Wednesday's trip had a little different twist to it as about half of our Catfish were caught in the same place we've been fishing since the Fall (Timber way up the Richland Creek Arm where the Commorants roost in 15 FOW)but the others were caught in a bend in the Richland Creek in 27' FOW near a lone tree. The early AM bite was good from around 7:30AM till 9:30AM and then the switch turned off. Couldn't get a bite after moving three times and decided to try deeper water and the creek channel. The key seemed to be fishing the drop off side of the boat in an area where the was a noticeable bend in the creek. This was the ticket as we went from 27 Keepers around 10AM to 58 Keepers by a little after Noon! Another oddity was that we only had 5 Channels with the rest being Blues. Had been running about half and half on recent trips. All on DK's Blood Punch Bait. We have some February Weekday openings and one boat still open on Saturday, February 18th if anyone is interested in our WINTER SPECIAL OFFER and saving a few $'s while having fun & filling the freezer! smile
