Each boat/trailer have different ways to load the boat properly. You must learn "YOUR" boat and what works best--there is no substitute for experience! There will also be differences in ramp angles you must learn as well. What I mean by this is a steep ramp will require you to park the trailer shallow to get the bow up and over the stop. A shallow (less steep) ramp requires you to get more of the trailer in the water. I know of one particular ramp that is so steep that by the time I get the bow at the stop, my boat will float completely over the fender. Since this ramp is on a river with bad current at times, loading the boat sometimes requires 2 people to get it on there.

I know each boat / ramp are different , as I back into water I watch the very back of the boat , soon as it starts to lift I look at the fenders and make a mental note of where the water line is . That's where I stop the trailer when loading the boat . JMO . Have a Merry Christmas
