I currently have a Garmin 93sv on the console and a 73dv up front. I was considering adding another 93sv at the console so I could have a dedicated mapping unit. I was thinking of swapping to Lowrance for the touch screen and so I could network all 3 of my units. It appears to get a 9inch touch with side view or whatever they call it is 1400ish.. am I correct on this?

The 1400 seems a little on the low side for the HDS gen3 - 9. A total scan combo will run you about 1900 with the transducer needed for your down and side imaging. Dont get the 7 even though its a very good product the screen gets too crowded and hard to see if you want to see multiple views.

If your looking at changing both units on your boat, check out Tackle Warehouse and their "boat in a box" package deals. You can mix and match two units for big savings. Package comes with all power cords and transducers you will need. Also comes with Point One antenna and Nema system to link units. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Lowrance_Electronics/catpage-ACCLOWRANCE.html
