Sent my reel in for a tune-up and clean. They were extremely fast and paid yesterday and it was delivered today EXCELLENT job.

I find that hard to believe

No kidding.....are you sure they disassembled it? Or did they just wipe down.

Wow. Every time I go in it's two weeks at least.

They've always been to great to me.

Not saying the work or people aren't good. Just his time frame he stated is not the norm.

Didn't the reel repair recently get bought out? This may be a new owner trying to turn things around.

I rarely send a reel off for repair or cleaning. I do my own yearly breakdown and clean. It rarely takes me more than 30 minutes time from taking it off of the rod until it is back on the rod. and that is a complete breakdown of drive side and partial breakdown on idler side.

This is the time of year to do it. Can of brake cleaner, light oil, silicone grease, small Phillips screw driver, small crescent wrench and you are in business.

The Trolling Motor guy is no longer there

he didn't say how long it was there. he said he paid for the service and the next day he got the reel back. never said they cleaned it and got it back in two days time.

I've done my first and last business with them. Years ago they were great but in those days there was a different guy running it. After he passed away the place went to $hit. I was in there a couple of months ago and you'd thought I was trying to rob the place the way they treated me. Maybe they have new management, sure needed it. I'm taking mine to a guy down at Lake Fork next time I need repair. I can clean them myself.

There are sketchy people that just walk off the streets and come inside and pilfer around. They have to be on guard at all times. I was in there 5 or 6 weeks ago and a guy came in that looked as if he would hold the place up. I was half scared. Shane and Paul pretty much had to run the guy out. I like those guys and they like me. I will continue to do business with them. It's an enjoyable visit every time, and they always cut me a deal here or there. Thanks, Southwest Parts!

Ok let me clarify the time frame, took them 2 weeks to do the work but shipping it back so quick that what I give them props for. As far as doing the work myself, hek that's why I had to send it them lol had some bad bearings.
