Lost a big one that straightened my hook on a spro little john today. Just wondering what replacement hooks y'all are using for this bait?

Mustad KVD 1x Elite Triple Grips I like to put these on all of my crankbaits. They're 1x strong so they're stronger than standard-wire treble hooks. These are the best hooks you can find for a crankbait, bar none. They stay sharp and keep their point for a long time.

You think #4 or #2 would be best for the spro little john?

What size would you recommend for a rattle trap? I seem to break the hooks off the strike king rattle traps as their very light wore hooks.

I question how tight was your drag to straighten the hooks. If you were fishing in timber I can "almost" understand a really tight drag, but it takes a LOT of force to straighten even a standard treble hook.
John K Fontenot Diapers and Politicians need to be changed often; and for the same reason.

I like the KVD EWG short shank and I move up one size.
