Caught a limit in about 3 hours today. Fished minnows in 25 ft over brush, 2-3 turns off the bottom. No 2 pounders, but lots of solid 12-13 inch fish. The 25 weighed 29 pounds. Others fishing around me were doing pretty well also.Looks like the fun has started.

We fished lop yesterday after having heard a lot of chatter that they were deep and folks were pulling in limits. Had a rough day with 7 fish, one of which was 2 lbs though. They were scattered, and we caught them anywhere from 25 to 40 ft. Caught a bunch of 12-13 inch channel cat though, so it wasn't a total spanking.

Sounds like my outing at pines yesterday. Caught 6 in two hours but they were fine specimens. I left when the rain started. I caught the majority in 24 ft

I have to agree. They're not stacked out deep yet, but they're starting to move in. I had to find brush to catch any fish today. I'll be there this week looking for more brush piles.
