One of the things I love most about fishing is the element of surprise. Today, for instance, I finished work early and headed to the Guadalupe river to get a line wet. Since today was a stock day, I fully expected to be engaging in shoulder to shoulder "combat fishing" and was not too far off the mark.
What I didn't expect was that I'd finally get to meet TFF's own Chuck Dewey, aka Banker-Always-Fishing, and a few other gentlemen. Chuck is a very helpful and friendly member of this forum, and did not disappoint in person! Looking forward to fishing with him.
Another surprise was the appearance of a breeder trout. I'm told that after these fish reach a certain age, the hatchery releases them to live out the rest of their days in a more natural environment. Here's hoping this old fellow stays off the hook for a week, at least.
In other news, this little one prevented me from getting skunked, so all in all a very good day!

Great meeting you Will! Looking forward to fishing with you! There are some SUPER people on this forum and you are one of them!
Side Note: Glad you were able to catch one! They were very hard to get and the bite was very slow all day. Today should be pretty good. Also that was one beautiful old fish you filmed. It's an awesome sight seeing a trout that size swimming in Texas!
