So the pirate (Captain Jx) confirms the discount is for trips this season (Jan, Feb, Mar & April) booked no later than January 31. There's a trip every weekend (except perhaps during Spring Break in mid March). All we need is enough fishermen for each trip to make. When's the next YFT trip planned on the scat cat you say? Hell it's next weekend! Who wants to go catch unlimited blackfin, a limit of yellowfin, a couple amberjack plus god only knows what else AND all at the discounted rate of only $700??? Who's with me?

It's a LOT different than SoCal tuna fishing. Topwater poppers, butterfly/diamond jigs, and chunk baiting are the basic methods you'll use. No commercial live bait operations out here for sardines or anchovies, so if you want live bait, you have to rustle up your own.

Uh. It depends. The blackfin can initially be 100-300 ft down at first, but will often come up as the night goes on.
