I'm thinking about getting into making my own jigs. I have been looking around at what I may need to buy and I'm not sure what all I may need or don't need. Any help on where and what I may need would be great. Thank you in advance.
If it was easy, everyone would do it

Crazy Angler has a beginner starter kit that will get you there. Basics will be a vice, thread, hackle and/or marabou, chenille, head cement with applicator, some jig heads, and watch some you tube videos on tying.
But be warned, it's a road of strong addiction.

But be warned, it's a road of strong addiction. Add a Whip Finisher tool and you'll be set. Weather you go hackle or marabou, make sure you get chartreuse. As for chenille, if you start with royal blue and/or June bug along with pearl, you'll be able to tie some very effective combos on most area lakes. Just my opinion, Good luck.

Just make sure it's not a Thompson type whip finish tool and it is a Matarelli Style Whip Finish tool!!!

Vern Matarelli is not a brand and most every brand makes this kind and is a style more than brand. Thompson style is also not just a brand, but one for tying flies with no real head other than some thread. It is designed to tie a whip finish over just a hook eye and not a lead head. The Matarelli style is a different type and is made for tying a whip finish over a large head. Also neither if for tying a half hitch and I never use a half hitch, but I do use a Matarelli Whip finish tool and tie a whip finish which is the best kind of finish there is
PaPa@fork also once you get your things and if you want a video of how to use a Matarelli Whip Finish tool, PM me and I will email you the video.

Thanks for all the info, it's going to be after Christmas before I do anything. Right now I have my eyes on a prop.
Thanks again for the information.
