To start off with, we lost a really great tackle producer this week.
Mike Osner of Moe's Tackle is stepping away from a business that he built from ground up for 10 years or more for health reasons. I'd like wish Mike well in whatever he decides to do.
Winter has hit us here on the lake; water temperature will be fluctuating from the mid 40s to mid 50s. This will put the sand bass and hybrids out in a little deeper water starting early at 24 feet to 37 to 40 feet of water by late morning. We are catching them with a light touch on the slab while jigging off the bottom. The sand bass we have been catching are nice size with a few keeping hybrids mixed in.
I'm starting my trips at 8:30 to 9:00, just to give the lake a chance to warm up a little more.
If you would like to book a trip for the Holidays or the spring, call Bob Holmes longest running fishing guide on the lake and still the Striper Lake Record Holder.
Also offering Gift certificates for that hard to buy for special person.
Thanks and have a Really Merry Christmas.
Best regards Bob
