There used to be a shoot-thru version of the DI transducer (XIH 9 DI T) that came with epoxy. It was the exact same one as the transom model (XNT 9 DI T) that comes with the transom mount.
The XIH is no longer listed in the accessory transducer listing.

Now on the Humminbird website FAQ section, this is posted:

Can I epoxy the Side Imaging or Down Imaging transducer in the hull of my fiberglass boat and allow the sonar to shoot through the hull?

Side Imaging transducers have beams that shoot out to the side of the transducer therefore they cannot be epoxied into the hull and work properly.  In addition, we do not recommend this type of installation for Down Imaging either.  Shooting through the hull of a fiberglass boat does cause lose of signal strength.  With Down Imaging the signal lose will degrade the Down Imaging view.
