are still ripe and good for picking. Went out this breezy, cloudy and cool Sunday afternoon and brought along TexExp. He pulled in the majority. Set the ole MotorGuide Xi5 on anchor and he fished from the back of the boat in comfort. Only 10 keepers in a short time spent on the water. My fall pattern of picking fish from the main lake points/rocks has been the best fishing I have seen on Grapevine in some time.

i just suck! i was out there yesterday in the am for 3 hrs.not 1 bite! main lake or slips. bang

I hit Grapevine on Friday and got in on some of that action. Took a while to locate some fish but once we found them it was ON!! Caught about 20 in about 90 minutes with 14 keepers. It was very different fishing the main lake like that instead of fishing brush piles or timber, etc. Lots of fun. Thanks for all the info David! cheers
