I am getting ready to install the above on my 17 foot deep v alum and any helpful do's an d don't will be appreciated. The transducer will be mounted on left side of transom, the unit will replace my eagle 640 c. Unit will be on the bow platform . Figure I will be able to read unit from console. If not will reinstall on the console. Promised myself I would not install until I have read and understand the manual.
Any advice will be appreciated.

Make sure you install it with plenty of room in the back to install/remove cables. They can be a pain!!!!!

Bulletman... Larned that the hard way when I intalled the 640 c

a 17', installed on the bow and the transducer on the transom -- Install the transducer first and run the cable. This may dictate the location of the fishfinder. I don't remember how much cable is on the transducer.

I bet Lowrance can tell you how long the cable is.

Transducer cable length is 20ft and you can get a 12ft extension cable part#: 000-0099-93

In boat and on water and WOW ! what a picure,didn't know how well it performed.

After installing and learning the following is happeningafter installing power and trnsducer lines in the same location of the replaced eagle 40c i get a snowy screen at 2800 rpm. visited with tech support(lowranc with this suggestion. go ith a 12ga power instead of 16 and sheild transducer cable in aaromed metal conduit. Any thousght sugestion will be appreciated
