Anyone have a (less than $150) rod recommendation for throwing semi-large swimbaits? Talking swimbaits in the 2-4 ounce and 6-9 inch range. Thanks.

You can find a used Dobyns Champion 795 in that price range from time to time also. I haven't looked at the Fury line but the Champion came out with two different handle lengths.

I catch a lot of fish on the 8in-10in Triple trout in warmer months...I like Bone but a lot of colors get bit
Like Mark posted the Magdraft is good-gets bit well but can roll on a faster retrieve...I only throw the 10in
I throw the Magdraft where I would toss a Riseing Son...(1st 1-3 Feet of upper water column)
The Riseing Son is a quality bait and tracks true at any speed...but I don't purchase 3:16 anymore...
I prefer to support Smash Tech... the "Convict" and "Headsmasher" are really legit soft bait alternatives to most manufactures...
I'm also a big fan of the Rago soft baits but support mainly Smashtech since they are local and have great service.
The Dobyns Fury is a great rod...Very affordable $119...I feel it tops out around 5ozs but handles up to a 8in Hudd just fine.
Temple Fork has a good long handle Swimbait rod at an affordable price-great Keitech/Kicker fish rod...Fast tip but capeable of throwing up to 3ozs comfortably
Simon Peter said to them "I am going fishing" They said "We are going fishing also." -JOHN 21:3
