Results from Dec 1:

Our first morning fishing when it was really cold. It was 32 when I left home at 6 AM and we were all dressed for an uncomfortable day. But when the sun got up it warmed us some. It's a shame it didn't really warm up the fishing to much. Yes there were quite a few fish caught but no big bags to speak of.

Fish were caught on jigs, drop shots, shaky heads, swim baits, and C-rigs, for the most part.

1st place went to Stan Norton, Jr of Emory with 4 fish for 11.30 and a 5.14 lunker.
We only count the five largest.
2nd place went to Doug Watson again of Yantis also with 14 fish for 9.89 and a 2.48 lunker.
3rd place went to Jeff Wilkerson with 14 fish for 9.24 pounds and a 2.48 lunker.
4th place went to Don Overstreet of Sulphur Springs with 15 fish for 9.11 and a 3.02 lunker
5th place went to Johnny Hall of Quitman with 3 fish for 8.62 with THE 6.03 lunker.
6th place went to Dennis Bubinas again of Yantis with 6 fish for 7.96 with a 3.02 lunker .
7th place went to Mac McDaniel of Sulphur Springs with 6 fish for 7.95 with a 2.12 lunker.

Congrats to Johnny Hall for establishing new club personal best (PB) for a 5 fish bag of 8.62 and lunker of 6.03.

We paid 6 places and had 36 anglers fishing and caught 166 bass and some of them were quality slots. Only four skunked on a day when the barometer was going thru the roof..

How are those weights even possible. Because we measure and release, and record on a laminated sheet. No fish died either.

Way to goes guys!

The LFA fishes every other Thursday daytime at Lake Fork only. Persons interested in joining or fishing as a guest should e-mail me at or PM me on here.

Here is your opportunity to fish with friendly knowledgeable Lake Fork anglers for the cost of a $5 annual dues and a $12 entry fee. Slot fish count. No teams. We are currently at below cap and are looking for a some co-anglers and we will also accept "guests" who generally get to fish when regular members are away.
Actually none of our guests has sat one out as yet. And we are also looking for co-anglers.

Sometimes Fork is a big question mark. But even though we don't always slay them a few will find them. This week more than a few slayed them
