Went out on LL today and fished from 2- dark and only caught 2 hybrid. they were in about 15-30 ft of water. I was marking fish in a bunch of different spots but lake park was where I caught the fish. if anyone has any tips for the winter fishing PM me please thanks!

The last few weeks I have found the whites on the humps & they have been hugging the bottom. They just appear as a small bump or a heavy line. They will hit a slab readily when you find them.

My pattern in the early winter is to troll large 5-6 inch glow sassy shad at about 100 feet behind the boat in shallow water to find the hybrids. THey are usually in 11-15 feet of water. When you find them you can then switch to drifting bait or casting the sassys. Last Saturday we boated 16 hybrids in two hours using this method....

Don is there any time of day that is best on Lewisville. I have not been on the lake for a while, getting my boat and trailer fixed. I don't know where fish are or when to look.

I am a morning person and that is when I fish. It seems they bite all day from what others tell me. Some days, the evenings are better. What is the trouble with boat?

Don, I had a new sonar installed and new tires put on the trailer. I now that's not much of an excuse for not getting out there. With my work any little issue takes a long time to get scheduled and finished. The new Garmin works pretty good, and new radial tires make the trailer pull much better. I went out today and was able to catch a few, thank you for the help!

BenP- No do not get hung up even in shallow water as the sassy's hook is pointing up. Does not get hung on the flats. Pick a flat with wind blowing into it. Use a heavy 3/4 one ounce jig head. Went out yesterday pre front and caught some nice ones down by the dam.....

I will try the glow sassy trolling method on Lewisville tomorrow (Wednesday) Where down by the dam do you all recommend that I start? I appreciate any info! I have been skunked there the few time I have been out this year.

The white glow sassy are best as they glow in the dark. Try the left hand side of the dam by the 121 cut. That seems to hold the best fish.I troll at 1100 rpm's or 3.3knots
