Out of curiosity, how far would you drive to purchase and/or have installed items such as Powerpoles, Talons, Depthfinders, battery chargers, and trolling motors. All the work being done by a competent shop with over 20yrs experience. John

I wouldn't want to drive more than an hour tops unless there just weren't any competent people in my area. Especially if it was driving, dropping off, driving home then returning to pick it up when it was ready

1-2 hrs if I'm real confident of a dealer's work. On the return trip I would plan a fishing expedition to fill out the day in the dealer's area or somewhere in-between.

I drove 1 1/2 hrs to have Slade set up my electronics. I personally don't buy anything I can't install myself.
"I'd rather be fishing!"

Lake Fork Electronics will make you an unbelievable deal on a set of installed power poles.

I can get the powerpoles as cheap as Lake Fork Electronics -- don't need a deal, just wanted to know how far someone will drive for quality service. Thanks John

Quality service with quality parts done right? Driving doesn't bother me, I drive to a place in Mount Pleasant because the wife loves their chocolate so I'd drive 3, maybe 4 hours if I can schedule the service at 0800, drive in and be back on the road by 1600 and if there's not an equivalent quality shop closer.

I know one thing, your service is top notch!! I'd drive an hour if I couldn't do it myself.

my Motor mechanic is in Atlanta, Texas which is 3.5 hour drive. He's the best around and I have no issue with the drive. I trust him 400%
