Caught 6 crappie on minnows 4 being keepers and then caught 4 flatheads smallest was 19 inches, biggest was about 25 inches. Half is already ate and the rest went in my brand new deep freezer I got on sale on black friday.

They were about on bottom at around 5, 6 foot. I assume it's that deep because I did snag a few times.

Also seen a guy catch a paddle nose cat fish. It was maybe 2ft long. Pretty interesting to see. I know a few months back they released 300 of them into caddo. It's crazy to know they travel like that

Nice report. Sounds like dinner thumb

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Hey Fish Doc, Thanks for the report. I'm curious,, Did you see a lot of boats fishing the open area north of the dam??? Most Crappie are caught in 22-35 feet deep when it starts. Thanks. Don

I didn't get anything yesterday evening. Guy next to me caught a few slabs. Saturday morning there were probably 15- 20 boats when I was headed to the spill way. Didn't look yesterday.
