My 598 'bird has something rattling inside. I told my wife about it and she told me to go buy another one. ( I love my wife). I am looking at a 1199cxi. I am seeking advice or recommendations. Thanks in advance.

I think that the 1199cxi is the one that does not include the transducer. I'm not 100% sure but I would double check before you pull the trigger. The one you probably want is the 1199ci HD SI combo. As far as the unit is concerned, I'm sure you will be more than happy and you will save some money over the equivalent Helix unit. I've got a 999 and love it!

And... What did you do to make your 598 rattle? Maybe I will see if I can make mine rattle and get the thumbs up on a new 1199 from my wife! roflmao

The whole model name is 1199cxi HD SI Combo.
The x means it is an INTERNATIONAL model that has Metric and standard measurements/readouts and language choices.

No difference in functions and operation. Just a higher cost model that meets international standards.
