My dad took me on an amazing fishing trip to Alaska for Halibut/Salmon in college. Now that I'm older, I would love to return the favor and take him on a yellowfin tuna charter. Any recommendations?

Eddie Burger or Hunter Caballero, Venice La.
2 of the best tuna men on the gulf coast.

BTW, thats a very cool thing to do for your Dad! thumb

It's hard to go wrong with Mexican Gulf Fishing Company out of Venice. Excellent captains, top of the line gear, and the Freeman boats are a true joy to fish from. Whoever you decide, do not go with Voodoo charters. The guide/owner was hours late each day, braided line was rotten, and lodging was horrible. We never made it to the tuna grounds. The captain was hungover, and didn't want to drive the distance.

Agree with Brian on Eddie Burger.
Worth the drive to Venice.
Stay on a houseboat at the marina, have Eddie pick you up in the morning at the houseboat.
Bonus, Eddie will clean all the fish you catch, so pack a BIG, BIG cooler!!

I fished Sunday with Troy wetzel off shore louisania charters. His guys were top notch and put us on tuna, snapper and I lost an 8' hammer head at the boat. I would defiantly give them 5 outa 5 stars and a return trip.
