Fished Thur-Fri-and Sat and had super weather. Thur-Fri was Sunny, and Sat was colder and overcast all day.
We caught crappie from 9 to 4 all 3 days, we fished brushpiles, submerged bridges, and points.
Brushpiles in 16-18 feet seemed to be the best for size, the piles are also full of giant bream and pesky 10-15 inch bass, and the occasional big catfish. We fished with minnows and jigs, but minnows fished about a foot off the bottom
very very slow was best, the stiller you could hold your line the better. Debbie caught the Black nose, first one for us..
The point we fished had 12 other boats on it !!! We were in 26 feet and the fish were moving with the bait fish,
You could spot them on the graphs and adjust your depth accordingly, jigs and minnows worked well, if you could
stay away from the yellow bass, and small largemouths...Saturday Debbie counted 80 overall fish for the day,
we had 25 keeper crappie easy, with 6-7 over 12-13 inches. Saturday was pretty cold but produced the most fish.
All fish were released. Great days on the lake, JIM
