I took a little time off the fly rod Saturday to go and fish Texoma with a tournament fisher who calls that lake home. All I can say is ... Dang! For a fly guy to catch six species on the same outing is notable to say the least. Smallmouth, spot, largemouth, sand, striped and hybrid were all on the list Saturday. That lake is darn dynamic. Saw a few boats, and some kayakers along the dam. It makes me wish my home water (Ray Roberts) was a bit more open minded!

It's a fun lake to fish.
