now that fall is gearing up, the bite has gone down dramatically for me. i have a $20 (walmart only) spending limit this weekend.

our local river is slightly stained 4-6ft visability and our local lake is murky brownish green with about 2-4ft visability.

what are some colors, techniques, and/or hard baits you guys can share that would be an almost success for landing anything from dinkers to some fattie bass? its been a good month since my last catch. even a dinker will cure my bass cravings lol. much thanks (: popcorn

Black and blue power worm or Spinnerbait with large gold colorado style blades. Either will be good for this time of year and stained to muddy conditions. I like chatter baits as well.

I'd buy $20 worth of green pumpkin Biffle Bugs.

But, then again, I do it every time I go to Walmart.

My suggestion and one of my favorites is the Havoc Craw Fatty by Berkley in green pumpkin and Walmart sells them.

2-4ft of visibility is about what I fished today, and they were hitting green pumpkin soft plastics no problem.

$20 to spend in the Wmart fishing section to catch everything in the river and lake

$3 pack of Black and blue Strike King Shim e sticks
$3 pack of Green pumpkin Strike King Shim e sticks
$2 Arkie Rattle Band Jig black and blue (fishing from the bank, I'd get the 3/8oz size--from a boat or kayak the 1/2oz)
$2 Hart Tackle Jig N Chunk green pumpkin (comes with one craw trailer) (get the 1/2oz)
$6 Luck e Strike 15 piece spinnerbait kit with trailers (comes with three spinner baits and 12 trailers)
$4 go through the $1.96 yum soft plastics box on the bottom row and find a pack of black and blue craw/creature bait you like and a pack of green pumpkin craw/creature bait you like. You can use these soft plastics as a trailer on the jigs.

If you have five more dollars get two 1/4oz beetle spins and a 1/2oz rattle trap in chrome blue back.

ALWAYS keep green pumpkin in your inventory. Going fishing with no green pumpkin is almost as bad as going fishing with no hooks.

Or as Tommy Biffle says " like putting gas in a wrecked car."

green pumpkin better than a pocket on a shirt

Biffle is as country as brown gravy. Love to hear him talk about how to fish a jig.
