Tawakoni is 63-63 here 2 years ago we were per my logs doing great now but it was colder then, last year was not a good dead stick season for us, normally 60 deg was the mark for temps. This year is different here, all temp related, it just needs to cool off some more I think, just me there. It would probably work now as it did in the summer too! We are casting small spinners and rubber baits here at Tawakoni.

You need to try different speeds with different lures. Let's say you think it might be still a little to warm to deadstick. You can still pull lures with the trolling motor. Pull Wildeyes and other Swimbaits at slow speeds. If you can't catch them them break out the dead sticking stuff. It can actually change back and forth between cold fronts with strong North winds that drive water temps down and warm sunshine days that increase water temps.

It did not produce @ Lewisville yesterday. Water temp was 63. Do slow down your presentation now though. It is a simple matter to find the fish. Trouble is that they are moving and will not stay put.

Water temp in low 60's will get u bit if u do not spot lock. Drift fishing @ .4 to .5 mph with or against the wind has produced well for us. The tail slappers are in full force, however, stinger hooks outperform ! 5" white ice and one ounce stripaholic jigs .
