Pretty rough yesterday. Fished from 1 pm to 5 pm without a bite all over the lake. Even tried live shad. Not even a catfish. Water temp was 60. Wonder if the lake started turning over? We saw a guide cleaning some fish from the morning trip, but the afternoon bite was pretty dead, and I just hate trolling. Marked a tone of fish in 44 feet of water in the hazard zone, but hey were not cooperative

I was all over it again today with no luck. Threw everything but my socks at them. 1/2 dozen boats all around me and they weren't catching anything either. Must be eating at night after we leave.

hmmm

It was hit and miss for me too this week. We picked up a couple here and a couple there, but was slow. Probably my lack of skills locating fish was the culprit. Its hard to go to a lake 3 times a year and get on them good IMO. The ones we did catch slammed the lures hard. I covered a lot of lake, and never found a good group of fish.

I literally stumbled into some birds in the thick fog this morning after seriously going in circles for a half hour. If not for that, I would have gotten skunked. I managed to catch about 20 big sand bass, big hybrids, and a couple smaller stripers.

I launched at the State Park and was scared to chance getting out in the fog so stayed close and caught some bass flipping the flooded willows until the fog lifted. I was marking huge balls of shad w- fish under them in 3-4 places but they didn't want anything I had. Guess I need to learn how to throw a cast net. Happy for the guys that caught'em today. I tried, if it weren't for getting on some LMB I woulda got skunked.

Saturday's pm trip was super slooowwww!! Was out at 1pm to 5:30pm. Caught one sandie and one cat. Two friends with me caught one sandie each. We covered a lot of water. We marked fish scattered. It was a tough day.

You Guys did better than I did during the same afternoon time frame. I caught nothing but scored a nice sandwich.

Yesterday was a tough day for my crew. We boated maybe 10 fish from 1.00 to 5.00. The front that come thru slowed them down.
