I used to fish Benbrook a while back. I know this is a late post for your trip but if there is any cover down by the dam I would fish it. My son back in 2009 caught a 2.5lb. white there. I used to fish the trees at mid-lake and catch them regularly an did alright on the points off the east side of the lake if I could find cover on them. Set out your own cover and the lake will produce quality fish.
