Soft shell ones are black and have polyester outer with an gore tex like inner liner, other ones are navy blue and nylon outer.

I'm thinking black is better as they have Gore-Tex liner and are the newer ones.

Correct, the new model compares favorably to others at a much higher price point and they stand behind them.

That is a great deal.

Picked up a set of the older style blue ones for ~30 each (30/top and 30/bibs) on black Friday last year 2015. Have used them in plenty of foul weather trips and they kept me dry and warm. Not nearly as nice as the BPS 100mph stuff but they'll get the job done. I picked them up to keep a spare set and have ended up using them pretty often because I am not too concerned if I mess them up.
