I have an older basscat with an agreed value policy at 13k. It runs me 550 yr. Sound normal or should I shop it? It's renewal time so I was just wondering.

I have been with Markel for many years and have always had great rates and service.
My 2015 FX21 policy only runs around $600 yr at about $65k value.

That appears to be real high. I would call Bob at World wide marine and have him shop it. The call will take 5 minutes and I would guess he could save you half.

Let me find mine and I will send you a PM. I've never had to use it thankfully so I don't know if it is good or. It but I have it mainly in case something really crazy happens. But I do have a small amount of theft coverage maybe $2k for equipment which wouldn't cover much. But It's usually on the lake or in the garage.

Did you ask him why it was so high?

I also have insurance with World Wide Marina and we have about $45k in coverage for $600/yr. Something went wrong in your quote.
