 How many fish have you caught this year,...?

We mark a calendar with how many fish we catch on each trip, all kinds. Looking at the calendar the other day my wife and I have caught over 1900 fish so far this year. We probably kept about 200-250 crappie and 40 sandbass once with a guide. The rest were all catch and release, we've had a great fishing year..anyone else keep count.

I probably need to start keeping a record per year for my wife and I. I'd say easily over 500. This year hasn't been fished as much as in years past. Live on the lake and don't fish as much as I used to. What's wrong with that scenario?
That's a good idea. I even have an app for that on my phone and don't use it. Oh the irony!

50 if I'm lucky and Striper don't count. I just started in July though and figuring some stuff out.
Good idea on keeping count. I'm starting a ledger that I put the lakes I fish, weather conditions, water temp, fish caught, tackle used, etc...

Used to keep count per trip but haven't done that since I got out of tournament fishing and keeping a log.

I fished about 50 days this year for bass and probably averaged 20 fish a trip. I started on the crappie last week and I'm at about 150 fish. I keep a clicker and keep count on every trip but I like your ideal of keeping count on a calender I'm going to start doing that.

4,362 and 1 carp but it was a fish so 4,363. still got a month to go!

in club tournaments 100+. Pre-fishing perhaps another 50. I don't stick around much after identifying fish. Fun fishing with the wife probably another couple hundred.
Haven't been crappie fishing in over a year and don't care about catfish, sand bass and perch. But did catch some sand bass trolling at Tawakoni.
Compared to Jim Sr's 1700 really a piddling.

I caught a lot. heck I caught more in the last 4 weeks that the rest of the year all put together. No big uns but still had a great year
