We grew up fishing the Little River from FM 1600 to the Brazos River. Good water from Bud Adams ranch to the San Gabriel river where the Alcoa pump station is. My grandpa use to keep his boat in the water year around just up from the long bridge going into Cameron. He would fish a lot from the Cameron city intake to the iron bridge out by the golf course. The bank are steep in spots now, but if you work cattle you should find good access. We catch lots of channel cats, blue cats and yellow cats. My uncle will fish up by the Oak Club. He will sit all day with a rod and reel and worms and catch at least one 20 lb yellow cat. Never moves, just sits there. Myself, I do some rod and reel fishing on Little River but most we set out lines. Good luck might see you on the river.
