I plan on going tomorrow morning in my kayak... if the wind isn't too bad (forecast says 8 mph NW).

I can cover quite a bit of water, but I'm not too interested in crossing the main lake. Therefore, I was hoping somebody that is dialed in on the pattern could suggest a place to launch (I'm not looking for secrets!... unless you feel compared to share laugh )

Any advice on the best place that wouldnt require me getting in a bind of the wind gets up?

I'll be sure to report back. Thank you!

the state park ramp, or the city park by the golf course, both would be easy. I've been having real good luck with the small in-line spinners, shad or blue color.

Man on a north west wind it's gonna be tough to Yak out of state park and holiday.

Your best bet is to launch out of sky point

Sun has been fishing pretty good. We fished that area Friday.

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Yep, don't launch on any south shore with a nw wind and stay away from being exposed to the main lake no matter where you launch. Any westerly wind can wreak havoc on that lake, and nw is about as bad as it can be.

I was thinking about launching at Cedar Cove... that seems the most protected.

Cedar Cove is perfect for a kayak and plenty of areas to fish.

Fishing on Wednesday was great. Birds were everywhere and I've never seen so much bait. Thanks all for the suggestions.

We will be out there tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully the birds are still working.
