Start off early with a breakfast burrito from Jerry. Midday I would go with one of Jerrys home made burgers. In the evening when the sun starts going down I would recommend Jerrys chicken fried steak. food.......... banana

Wife and I fished there last Monday thru Thursday, hauled out on Thursday morning just before the wind got up and the north westerly came in. Winds were supposedly hit 30 mph so we headed home. We caught a ton of fish but no overs again this trip. We had two that went 17 1/2", four around 16", and probably a hundred in the 10" to 14" range. Wife had one on that we thought was a monster but when we landed him he was gorged on shad and minnows, his belly was bigger than Santa Clauses.
We used finesse worms, trick worms, and I caught several on a white chatter ( actually the biggest one but measured just a little over 17 1/2".
We stayed in the brush in about six foot of water.
We also fished a good 8-9 hours per day. Caught the most in main lake off the weeds on side across from the dam. The back of the coves produced fish but most of them were around 10"s or under.
Hope this helps.

You might want to take some food, and Jerry can correct me but when we were there the store opened at six and I think made the breakfast burritos, can't say about lunch, but they had a sign up saying the grill closed at three Sunday thru Thursday. Only one time while we were there was the store open after five. I think with not many fishermen there they kinda of play it by ear. When you stop to get your permits or a cup of coffee you might wanna ask.

sure do miss that lake! Have some of my best memories fishing there with my dad, grandad and brother. Wish the lake would come up and bring more fishermen out that way . Jerry's place sure has some good food and when that lake is fishing good its hard to beat!!

Lots of little fish in the salt cedars. Biggest for me in 3 days was 4.5-5. Caught a few fish deep, but the bite shallow was too much fun to say away from.

Swim jig through all the cedars.

lake looks great with all the new water. I stayed main lake south. Never went north of Turkey Bend.
