Was lazy today and took the day off. Got to the lake at 10:30 am
Splash boat and head to a predetermined starting spot. First cast with a spinner bait and i thought oh well bye bye spinner bait. That bait sailed up on the bank by about three feet. So i pull it off the bank and sure enough it gets hung up. I start trolling to it popping the line several times. About ten feet from it i pop it again and it comes on done. One turn in the water and the bait take off across the lake. Set the hook on a solid 3 pound fish, not a keeper.. Lay the spinner bait down and grasp my chatter bait and start hitting the bank. Three more cast and two more fish both in the same weight range. Fish the bank about half way back and the bite stopped. Turned around and headed back. About ten cast back up the bank i catch another one this one is a puller. and not going to give up with out a fight. Solid 5 pound fat girl. Work about 5 more cast up the bank and whacked another small 3 pounder. Worked back and forth on the stretch of bank for about 5 hours and caught several more slot fish and two more overs. Ended the day moving about 20 yards out in the creek and played with the crappie and sand bass for a hour or so and called it a day.
