Ok,finesse fishing is not something I am accustomed to. I have a drop shot rod and reel but I was wondering what y'all's opinion on a drop shot worm was or drop shot bait in general.
It is very much appreciated.

I like the xcite slim x on account of its buoyancy. I fish them on 12# braid with A 6' flouro leader. I like using a 1/0 worm hook and trig the worm. Saves a lot of headaches as far as snags. The stretch from the leader along with the softer action of a ds rod balances out well against the braid for a thin wire hookset. Justdont try to break their jaw. a swift 9 to 12 lift of the rod against a taught line will do the job.

Hard to compete with a zoom finesse worm honestly.

It depends on what the fish want, sometimes it is watermelon colors, sometime red colors, sometimes purple colors at least that is what works for me at Fork. It also depends on water clarity and if it is sunny or cloudy.

Lately I have been drop shoting trick worms and V&M pork pins (the longer ones) although I still keep a second drop shot rod rigged up with a finesse worm also on deck at all times.

Start with green pumpkin. Then dip the tail in chartreuse.
