You're not alone JK, everyone has this problem. My thinking on this, and it's mine alone with no scientific evidence to back it up, is during high pressure the fishes air bladder expands and makes it try to seek a depth to relieve the pressure of the expanded air bladder. Kind of like when an airplane reaches a certain altitude it causes pressure in your ears and until they pop it can cause pain. Sometimes you can cup your hands over your ears and release the pressure. I think bass change depths to try and relieve their expanded air bladder. I've heard some anglers go to lighter line and smaller baits to counter act this but probably they also changed depths. Regardless, it's common knowledge these boogers get very difficult to impossible to catch. When the water gets flat under blue bird skies I go hunt me a nice chicken fried steak.

I've looked at tens of thousands of data points on this subject and have never been able to find any correlation with catch rate changes good or bad when it comes to barometric pressure changes. Heck, I wrote a book on it. Some of the biggest bag days in the elite series have come from "high pressure days." The fact is lots of fish are caught across the full spectrum of barometric pressure.
