Keeping the boat in the garage during the winter and wondering what I need to do to protect the 4-stroke yami 115. Is it necessary to do a full winterization if a boat it kept inside a non heated garage in my area (Fort Worth)?

I would rather be safe than sorry. Check the lower for water, fuel stabilizer and lower the outboard all down.

Am I missing something?

You're in Fort Worth, worrying about keeping a boat in an unheated garage?

Man I'm in Kansas City. I keep three on the trailers in the yard, plus another in the lake I live on.

We fish all year up here if the lakes don't ice up. Bet they don't ice up around DFW.

We run winter tournaments here and have to bust the ice to launch sometimes.

Just go fishing at least once a month and you'll never have any problems.
