Who is the go to guy for Shimano spinning reels around DFW? Mine was binding up. I took one of the covers off and dropped a small part and can't find it.

Depending on what model you have, you can get parts on Ebay.

Somewhere on the floor. It was very small, and I tried several methods to locate it.

That place is a beating to go to and wait in line. Plus they move at the speed of molasses

Thanks for sharing that. I try to avoid beatings. Think I will end up sending it to a member here that does reel repair who reached out.

lol I meant where it went on the reel. Depending on the piece, you might be able to steal a piece off of an old reel.

find a manual on line, figure out what part it is and you will be able to fine a replacement online. I had a tiny retainer clip on a curado spring off into the abyss. had a new one in 4 days.

Take it to Angler's Pro Tackle on Rufe Snow in North Richland Hill. They have a guy they send the reels off to. He'll either fix it for you or he'll tell you it's not worth the cost to do so. I've taken many spinning reels and bait casters to them and have been very satisfied with the results.
