Anyone have any recommendations or feed back for custom T-top in or around Rockport/Aransas pass area or between there and DFW?
Considering using either DMR service, Blue streak Fabrication or Specialty Aluminum works. Looking to get a removable/foldable top that incorporates an ice chest rack off of front legs and a basic 3 step folding ladder. Any feed back or recommendations is appreciated.

Specialty Aluminum does very nice work. I don't know anything about the others you mentioned. It may be out of your way, but Glenn at Custom Marine Concepts in Spring did a T-top and shortie leaning post for my Seaark for a very reasonable price and they were works of art. I've also seen some of the work done by Coastline in Seabrook and they do very nice work.
As far as a folding or removable top, it would probably be very labor intensive and expensive so you are likely going to be stuck with one of the pre-fab ones. I had one on my previous boat and I was very unhappy with it.
The manufacturer may be a sponsor here but I will be happy to PM you about it and it's shortcomings if you are interested.
If you can live with a fixed top, there are some very good options out there.

I've seen some of the prefab companies reviews... I guess you get what you pay for. I am leaning towards Specialty Alum works. They are a little closer and very reasonably priced. I'm still open to others but most closer to the coast seem to be more costly

closer to the coast, more experienced marine fabricators, higher price.
but i actually spoke with a fab shop in the DFW area about some custom aluminum work and the labor rate was 150/hr

Not necessarily. There is more competition on the coast and that keeps prices reasonable. I got a T-top and leaning post from Custom Marine Concepts for $700 less than the guy at the lake wanted for just a top. Shop around.
