Looking at going there next weekend never been. Need help on running lake where you can and can't run and any info on how this lake fishes is there grass ect. Thanks for any info

They have eradicated most of the hydrilla (where I knew how to catch fish) but you will still find pondweed, cattails, and lily pads in the coves. Both lakes are easy to get around in...there are no stumps that I know of...but the banks slope slightly in most of the lake so don't try to run too close to shore and you should be fine. The channel that connects the two lakes is on the south end. I have friends who prefer the old (west) lake, and others who swear by the "new" (east lake).

Fairly easy to run. Be careful if you put in at the hwy 64 ramp, its kinda shallow up there. Fish the boat houses, you'll get bit.
