It was cold and windy with this cold front coming in today but managed to have a solid night. Caught around 10 sand bass, 5 keepers, along with 1 dink crappie, all caught on artificials. Fished from 9:30PM-Midnight.
P.S. That place is definitely overdue for some renovations. New wood, new chairs, and cleaner bathrooms would make the place so much more attractive to people IMO.

I checked it out from the dirt parking lot and came to the same conclusion. I'm trying the Bridgeport crappie barge next.

i used to fish there back in the 70s when i was a kid. i stopped going when my son no longer wanted to fish with dad as he found girls far more attractive.

I have to stop in and give it a try for old time sake.

When do the crappie start moving into the barge? I went years ago but don't really remember. Just remember it being cold lol.

what type of artificials are folks using from the barge. I am new to fishing here in Texas and fishing barge and would like to give it a try.

I have gone there probably 5-6 times now and I caught 3 crappie all together, had a big bite once but line broke off. Which side do you fish and how do you do it? Teach me Master.

I remember my dad taking me there about 40 years ago. Seems like the same old place with no renovations.....I'm surprised it hasn't cracked in 1/2 and sank..
