The lower Illinois below Tenkiller runs only a short distance before it empties into the Arkansas river. There are some really big stripers hanging out near the conjunction and trout are like candy to them. So that's another option when fishing there.
Also the Illinois above Tenkiller and a tributary called both the Barren Fork and the Baron fork have a nice supply of smallmouth. When I lived in OK, the Barren Fork was one of my favorite places to fish.

Thanks j_hirn2! Hoping for another chance at trout; another run across the border to OK. No fishing today as we are on the road but how about a ukelele and a 50s' song to start the weekend! Ukelele Anyone?
