I've been using one for about 6 months. I think it might attract bait fish, maybe, but fish no. Save your money for better electronics, a guide trip or more tackle.

I've had birds diving under the trolling motor looking for the bait multiple times. I have also had a school of smallmouth start busting right at the trolling motor at Lake Texoma. My unit broke last year, I did not replace it. This year has been my best bass fishing season ever (without it). I see no need to replace it.

I like mine. Maybe just a mental thing, but I feel like it helps fire up inactive fish in some cases.

I traded for one. I can't tell you I will ever use it except maybe once or twice a year to see how it effects bait fish in certain situations. I had one on my last boat but after a while I never turned it on. I wouldn't ever buy one again but since I got the trade deal I went ahead with one.

Better hope nothing goes wrong with it. I was told to contact TH Marine in which I did. Three emails to one person that never responded, 4 more to another that said on Genes Facebook post that he would take care of it. Gene turned around and deleted my post and nothing has been done to date. I will never buy another and TH Marines customer service is [censored]!!!!!

I have one on my boat. I have seen times it makes a big difference. Have also seen times when it did not seem to make any difference. It is another tool to use . My take is if it helps me catch 1 or 2 more fish a day, it is well worth the money. Anything more than that is a bonus. They replaced the one my boat, no questions asked. I thought the customer service was great, but that is the only dealings I have had with them.

I agree it is just one more tool in the arsenal of the angler. If I were sill a professional angler, you can bet I would have one on my rig. If it helps boost your confidence then by all means buy one. If it doesn't don't. Pretty simple as I see it.

I had a chance to talk to many of the Elites at the Classic several times before takeoff. I asked the question because I was wondering the same thing. More than one told me that everyone had them - the non sponsored ones had the control units mounted in the tackle storage bins. The consensus was that at times, it does trigger bait fish activity which may or may not stimulate bass feeding. The overwhelming thought was that it helped mask the trolling motor sound/harmonics & other on-board electronics emissions - especially when flipping/pitching close quarters & not making long casts.

Still skeptical, I ended up buying the 9V powered mini version to hang over my dock when the Grand-kids came to fish. I can not say for certain that we caught more fish with it because I feed & have brush piles in a big semi-circle around the dock. What I can say for certain is that the Cormorants peck the heck out of the speaker when it's on.

That's funny as heck. You should take a video of the cormorants pecking the speaker and send it to TH Marine. Won't attract bass but does a great job on cormorants. HA roflmao

Yea - it would be very easy to scoop them up with my net & dump them in a 55 gal Rubbermaid trash can & haul them to the Trinity, but I wouldn't do that - they're protected....
