Saturday was super striper day and Wednesday was super sandbass day but only for two hours. Whitney can be exciting and frustrating to fish. Started the day thinking we just might get into that big school of stripers like Saturday but never did find them only singles here and there. The sandbass were not schooled up but were every where on the South side of the island, birds working and some top water splashes but would not hit top water for us. This lasted for only two hours then they vanished and we looked all over the North end back to the island and could not find any feeding fish until later in the day then it was 3-5 then move. Even when we were catching a lot of fish the graph never showed more than 5-15 together. At times you would only see 3 or 4 on the graph and that was enough to stop and fish that spot as they would continue to move through. We caught 90+ sandbass from 7:30 to 9:30. The total for the day was 134, all sb except for 1 drum and 5 striper. Rob caught the big fish of the day a 26" striper North side of the island late in the day. All on slabs, Sandjhonny old ugly (http://www.johnnysguideservice.com/) was working for me. All fish catch and release. Didn't want to bore you with pics of sandbass, they were all good sized and very healthy.

Graph, notice there are only 4 bumps on the bottom, that was enough to stop and fish today.

Big fish of the day 26"
