Results from Nov 17:

So the forecast was for high winds since Saturday. I don't get it how they cannot get most of the weather right most of the time and did hit the high winds right on the head. It was just kinda brutal.

Because we are mostly seniors we make it a point to have 2 members in each boat. Today that paid off in spades for Charlie. He fell out on a very windy day and had his boat blown away in the 68 degree water it could have been a tragedy. But Cheryl grabbed his rod, threw that up on the deck and then positioned the boat so he was able to use the big motor to lift himself, with her help, back into the boat.

Fish were caught on drop shots, shaky heads, swim baits, and C-rigs, for the most part.

1st place went to Jeff Wilkerson of Yantis with 14 fish for 15.11 and THE 8.13 lunker.
We only count the five largest.
2nd place went to Doug Watson of Yantis also with 7 fish for 10.12 and a 6.52 lunker.
3rd place went to Jack White with 15 fish for 9.24 pounds and a 2.88 lunker.
4th place went to Charlie Abresch of Hawkins with 5 fish for 9.15 and a 4.73 lunker
5th place went to Brian Dick of Alba with 5 fish for 8.84 with a 3.48 lunker.
6th place went to Dennis Bubinas of Yantis with 10 fish for 8.27 with a 2.3 lunker .

Congrats to Gene Shoemaker, a newer member, for establishing new club personal best (PB) for a 5 fish bag of 4.11

Congrats to Jeff Wilkerson for establishing new club PB lunker at 8.13.

We paid 5 places and had 30 anglers fishing and caught 191 bass and some of them were quality slots. Only two skunked.
For the first time ever there were no ties and every place from 1st to 30 earning members 50 to 20 points.

How are those weights even possible. Because we measure and release, and record on a laminated sheet. No fish died either.

Way to goes guys!

The LFA fishes every other Thursday daytime at Lake Fork only. Persons interested in joining or fishing as a guest should e-mail me at or PM me on here.

Here is your opportunity to fish with friendly knowledgeable Lake Fork anglers for the cost of a $5 annual dues and a $12 entry fee. Slot fish count. No teams. We are currently at below cap and are looking for a some co-anglers and we will also accept "guests" who generally get to fish when regular members are away.
Actually none of our guests has sat one out as yet. And we are also looking for co-anglers.

Sometimes Fork is a big question mark. But even though we don't always slay them a few will find them. This week more than a few slayed them
